“Ms Rajkotia is an engaging guide to the currents and counter-currents shaping India’s convoluted family law at a time when social conservatives are anxious about the breakdown of traditional family structures. Her narrative delves into the evolution of divorce law in India and the UK, and depictions of women in traditional Indian mythology and contemporary popular culture.”
